PremierCloud+ Print Client Application

Overview

To allow the secure preview and printing of cheques in PremierCloud+, a lightweight print client application must be installed on any users computer whose responsibilities include configuring printers, previewing or printing cheques.

This application will only run when initiated by a request from the PremierCloud+ application, and once the application has finished its task it will terminate.

Requirements

The Print Client application is currently only available for Microsoft Windows and it requires the .NET 4.8 runtime.

The .NET 4.8 runtime is installed as part of the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (version 1903) but may need enabling in Windows Features. If you are using an earlier version of Windows then the .NET 4.8 runtime will need to be installed manually.

Download

The print client application can be installed using either an executable (EXE) or Windows Installer file (MSI).  The installation packages are available to download from the 'Help & Support' page within the PremierCloud+ application.

If you do not have access to login to the PremierCloud+ application or are unable to access this page once you have logged in, please contact the Hague Support team to get a copy of the required installation package.

Installation

Installation of the print client application should be quick and straightforward due to the small installation package. The installation requires the installing user or service to have administrative permissions on the computer.

If any previous versions of the application are installed, please uninstall these prior to installing a new version.

Silent Installation

For silent installation of the MSI version of the installer run it from a command line with the parameter /qn.

Installation Logging

An installation log file may be useful when troubleshooting any issues that occur whilst installing the application.

To enable logging for the MSI version of the installer run it from the command line with the parameter /lvx* C:\Temp\HagueClientInstall.log.

Notes: These parameters can be used in conjunction with the silent installation parameters detailed above, and the location and name of the log file can be changed as per your requirements.

Usage

The print client application is only run when initiated by a task or request from the PremierCloud+ web application such as printing or previewing cheques. To do this the PremierCloud+ web application sends a request to the web browser you are using to start the print client application on your computer.

When the print client application is started by the web application, a message will be displayed by your web browser informing you that the website is trying to open the PremierCloud+ print client application. To prevent this message being displayed every time you preview or print cheques, please follow the instructions in this article.
